Manufacturing Supervisor
This unique, exciting and challenging position includes full operational responsibility for one or more dedicated production lines, including master scheduling, order quoting and all line responsibilities. Emphasis will be placed on understanding, controlling and improving all processes related to the production system, from the time an order is received to the time it is shipped.
Specific responsibilities include leading and supporting continuous process improvement through SPC and other variation and defect reduction tools, effectively managing capacity to ensure performance to schedule with optimal resource levels, and optimizing production through the introduction of flow-based concepts, tools, techniques and strategies. Also responsible for developing a strong sense of team work, open communication and high employee involvement.
Accountable for meeting a variety of performance metrics including product quality and process yield goals, performance to schedule, cycle time reduction goals, and productivity improvement goals.
Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Avtech Corporation is seeking an engineer to perform software quality assurance (SWQA) activities associated with the development of software per the DO178B standard and internal policies. Duties include SWQA process audits and driving related corrective action. Review and approve documents in accordance with software design criteria per company, customer and industry standards. Perform validation of test software and automated test equipment software. Requires knowledge and application of software quality assurance engineering principles, practices and techniques commonly employed in avionic products. BS degree in Engineering or related discipline. Must have 3-5 years of experience in software quality engineering. Ideal candidate has experience ins software quality assurance in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with DO-178B, DO-254, software validation, test witnessing and release of code, code control tools and metrics reporting/collection required. Practical experience in software design/testing helpful. EOE
