Product Line Manager

Will have principal responsibility for Product Line revenue & income performance. Will organize and execute the sales and marketing activity for the assigned product lines, and lead the Product Line team that includes cross functional staff from Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Accounting and Sales. Promote and sell the group's existing products and meet the planned backlog targets. Develop selling prices consistent with customer perceived value and company guidelines. Expand the existing/new products market share. Prepare written proposals in support of product line bookings. Maintain a pipeline of new products/projects in support of product line growth plans. Responsible for all new business reports & setting prioities. Coordinate with product line team and field sales on setting new business projects/rollout schedules. Formulate long range sales/margin analysis and marketing strategy for the product line. Support contract administrators in evaluating inquiries, formulating proposal strategy, recommending pricing status to ensure our products are specified and purchased. Travel approximately 20%. Reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing. Requires a B. S. in an engineering field and several years sales engineering experience with a broad knowledge of aerospace industries and their requirements, or the equivalent. MBA desired. Good communication, organizational and team leadership skills.

Sustaining Engineer

Will respond to customer, manufacturing or quality assurance difficulties in support of Power and Lighting products. Identify, evaluate and implement design changes to improve the reliability, manufacturability, performance or to reduce manufacturing costs. Maintain and support product documents, parts lists, and technical data; review change requests for appropriateness; implement redesign and verification for product deficiencies and obsolete component changes, etc. Requires BSEE and five years experience or equivalent combination; experience in analog design and trouble-shooting; understanding of microprocessors/PAL based design and software; excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work independently to resolve problems, and to work within a team with cross functional members.

Design Engineering Manager

Responsible for the overall direction and guidance of a Design Engineering group at Avtech. Represents Engineering in contacts inside and outside the company. Assists in generation of proposals for new products. Monitors performance of development programs within engineering. Establishes procedures, guidelines and budgets for department operation. Operates with appreciable latitude for independent actions and decisions. Responsible for assigned engineering personnel. Coordinate with various Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Materials, and Production Control departments to ensure manufacturability of new products. Engages in new and varied complex work situations with infrequent supervision. Reports to the Vice President of Engineering. Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of ten years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five years experience as an engineering manager.

Test Technician III

Calibrate, test and troubleshoot the REU products. Requires an AA degree or minimum of 5 yrs experience in testing and troubleshooting analog and digital electronic products preferably in the aerospace industry. This position is covered by Avtech’s FAA Drug and Alcohol Misuse Plan
